Jennifer Danielle Doiron Blaine

During the past few years, Jennifer has repeatedly asked me to carry items in the galley for her age group that she could afford to buy for her friends. After due consideration and consultation I decided to let Jennifer, age 8, embark upon the entrepreneur scene and have her own space. In August 2003 she attended her first Gift Fair in San Francisco as a buyer. After a coaching period on the buying process, she independently began to meet each vendor and negotiate the business transaction of placing her orders. She methodically selected items complementing the art and gift theme of the gallery and then branched out into a small line composed of items in which every little girl should indulge herself. When the items arrived in the gallery she learned how to inventory and price. She is in progress of learning how to manage her inventory on a computerized spread sheet.

Jennifer works in the gallery on Saturday afternoons, providing her homework is completed, at which time she meets with clients, restocks, checks her mail and reorders merchandise.
